Lil Waynes disses all Mixtape DJs

I was done writing for the day until I heard Lil Wayne diss all Mixtape DJs. Check Lil Wayne in action at http://nahright.com/news/2008/05/28/lil-wayne-fuck-you-if-youre-a-mixtape-dj/

Day 4/Day 5

It's Thursday. I wanted to write yesterday but my day was hectic.

Wednesday

I got up at 6:30am, ran 4 miles collectively. I live on the Westside of Manhattan so I literally ran to my gym which is approximately two miles away, lifted weights, and then ran back home. This routine is no joke. And, to be honest, I'm pissed off at myself that I even allowed myself to get out of shape to the point where I have to work this hard. I was cursing myself out on the way back from the gym.

Last night, I attended the Ryan Leslie event. The usual suspects were there. I spotted Damion Dash and Sylvia Rhone just to name a few. DJ Mos was on the 1's and 2's, he's actually a really dope DJ. I stayed at this event all but for 30 minutes and then I went some to get rest.

Thursday

I slept in this morning. My body was aching. I tend to overdue things. The last time, I put myself on a exercise routine, I was doing a football workout. After which, I got a horrible cold in the middle of summer. Today, I am going to hit the gym, but will be taking a couple days off from running.

This afternoon, I was a guest on WVKR FM with DJ Tek-Wun. I did a little 12 minute mix. Thanks, DJ Tek-Wun.

Tonight, my little sister is coming in town from Chicago. Tamika is the polar opposite of me with dredlocks, and she is a vegan. She plays the cello, and will be performing with a band in the city. She has to be one of the dopest celloists in the country. Can you believe that she has played with Tony Bennett? I am so proud of her.

Before she arrives, I have to do two mixes and I have a meeting with my new digital PR team. I can't wait to get some more work done. Being a DJ is more than just turntables-you have to be business savvy too, and I know this factor will separate me from other DJs. There is a DJ that I helped in Los Angeles, he was so grateful that he send me a Fire Lite drive with thousands of songs.

Day3

I jogged along the Westside Highway this morning. I was the only fool out there since it rained this morning, but if I don't stay on schedule I will have sugar relapse. "Rain or Shine" is my new slogan.

Last night, I went out with a friend from my NYU days. We went to a local bar. If I hope to attain my fitness goals, I cannot drink alcohol or beer, which is my weakness. I officially blame my love of beer on my mother who used to leave Michelob bottles around the house, and I would drink the remnants at an young age that I will not disclose.

It's 4:25pm and I have so much stuff to do. I have to work my second workout in before my hair appointment. My hair and working out is a constant battle for me. Nice hair or a nice body? I have decided that I would rather have a nice body because I can also get a weave like 90% of the black female population. Black men cannot tell the difference anymore until they attempt to run their hands through and other races could careless.

I have a meeting with Stephan Marbury's chef at 8pm to discuss a project. I have to find a venue for my 90's party with my hip-hop idol, and do two mixes.

I spent all morning, setting up my merchant account with Zazzle. Little stuff like the aforementioned, takes hours out of my day. Three hours to be exact unless I am just slow. I need an assistant-at least that is what DJ Tola told me. I need help with completing ministerial, brainless tasks. I need a super assistant-one that does not ask me stupid questions. I think I am going to put an ad on NYU CareerNet and see who responds.

4 weeks until the BET Awards

I am finished Day 2 of my two-a-days. That means I have 28 days to go. I will never neglect my workouts ever again. I spent two years working out consistently and lost all of my hard work in literally four months. Well, I am back and here to stay. 6:30 am is the wake up call.

The Summer is Here

Memorial Day weekend is almost over. I did not travel to Miami, Aruba, DR, or Puerto Rico, I stayed home and relaxed. I can't bear another plane ride. I clocked in 34 hours of air time in April and May. Therefore, I'm going to chill until the BET Awards in Los Angeles.

I set some great goals for myself this weekend. I decided to chill on dating, and focus more on myself for the next two months. Dating just takes too much time from my goals. I really don't understand how women juggle their careers, relationships, and maintain their bodies. They must be rich so they can hire a nanny, cook, and personal trainer or have good genes.

Each morning, I will wake up a 6:30 am. My goal is to run at least twice a day up and down the Westside Highway, and lift weights each day. I can alternate running with a spinning class or swimming. I will take Sundays off to relax-I will only run once. I also want to take a hot yoga class and pilates class each week as well. If I commit to this two-a-day routine for the next 6 weeks, I will be in pretty good shape by July.

Besides my workout goals, I want to start doing more special events in the upcoming year. I have several contacts that I need to send mixes too. I have to submit a mix to balleralert.com. Balleralert.com is a hilarious website which sends text messages to women with siting of "ballers ." I admit that I decided to get involved with it because I have a feeling this website is going to become very controversial. Controversy is always good for PR.

Then there is practicing-Djing that is. I feel horrible when I don't practice so I will be practicing everyday from now-that's a must.

Well, I'm logging off to go run.

DJ Nickiee Blog Spot

Hey, everybody! Let me start with saying that I am going to be very real on this Blog. I am sure my PR people, will want to edit the things that I talk about eventually, but I want everyone who reads this to really get to know me as a person. I am a true gemini. There are two sides to me-the sweetheart and the bitch, but I would prefer to be a sweetheart all day.

Who am I?

I am a female DJ, but I am also a nerd at heart. I was blessed to attend some of the greatest schools in the world from elementay school to graduate school. I believe my education defines who I am as a woman. If you look at my pictures, you may see one image, but once you talk to me, you may become very confused. I have a great family. I used to give them a hard time because I am a perfectionist and want everyone in my life to be perfect, but I have learned that perfection is impossible.

I love hip-hop. I live and breath it everyday. You will see.

Here, I will write about my daily adventures on the grind in New York and abroad. I will share my thoughts and lessons learned, and I hope it entertains and educates you. My life is nuts. I am a DJ, but also went to law school, and have putting off practicing law for years, but plan on launching my own law practice in 2009 as I strive to be the best female DJ!

Welcome to the life of DJ Nickiee..
