Back in New York

Thank god the project in Seattle is over. While I was there, I worked and stayed in the hotel. Now that I am back in New York, I realize that the city energizes me. I can't sit still; there is just too much opportunity here. This week was very productive, and I began a workout with Big Rich. Check out his website at totalasn.com. I am pretty strong, but he worked me out! I brought my partner, Olivia, along as well. I say this all the time, but it's important to work out. Exercise gives you energy, and if you are consistent, you will look great as well.

On the DJ tip, I am finally going to start making mixtapes. The first one will drop next month! I have an event on November 30th for the Dreammaker Foundation. Stay tuned for the press release.

I am sore. I had a great workout w/ Big Rich. He truly challenged me. I know that I can reach my goals w/ his help. I fell off in Seattle.
Getting ready for my appointment to workout with Big Rich at 12PM along with my business partner Olivia. He is going to whip me into shape!

About to hit the gym and then the streets. Scarcity is good so people will miss you. People devalue you if you're ALWAYS around!
I am back in New York, handling business. It's great to be back!

Going Back to Cali

I have been in LA for the past two days. I needed to get some sun. In addition, GoodGirlPR had an event at the Ivar located in Hollywood. I opened for DJ Rampage. All I have to say is that I need to focus more on the craft. I have the business side down. I think I have been so focused on getting organized that I have not been practicing as much as I used to in the past. I feel guilty when I don't practice. Some DJs brag about not practicing, but that's nothing to brag about. The best DJs still practice, and I want to be one of the best. I have a long way to until I reach my goal. I am enjoying my evolution as a DJ, and I appreciate all the guidance long the way. It is truly challenging, and I am so elated that I overcame my fear to become a DJ.

We Can!

Today, I cried. I cried because I am truly happy and blessed. Often in my blog, I talk about my goals, and my firm belief that goals can be achieved through action and consistency. Barack Obama is our President Elect. We can no longer have excuses or blame others for our mishaps or misfortune. If America elected a Black man as President of the United States, then we all can achieve our dreams. You must try through fear! People will hate and stand in your way. The same mentality exists in every culture-it is simply human nature. My point is that you should not let obstacles obstruct you. Barriers are the building blocks of your strength, and you must embrace them as you focus relentlessly.

I continue to surround myself around positive people. I do not tolerate negativity. I have no time for pettiness, drama, or insecure people. I just want to work hard and enjoy life. I'm learning not to care what anyone thinks. Each day, I continue to try, learn, and to evolve into a better person. I will never stop trying, and I recommend everyone do the same.
