I am have been up all night listening to music. Sometimes, I forget about the reason why I started to dj. I love music, and want to share my ear with others. DJing is about being organized. By listening to songs, you understand the vibe of each song. Just because two songs are the same BPM doesn't mean that they can be mixed or blended. They have to share the same feel. If you don't LOVE music, you will not take the time to figure this out...
Good night! Let's see if I go workout in the a.m. I have a jam packed day! Meetings and cocktails with Lucky Magazine. I want to be a Lucky Girl...

Happy Easter
This week was very eventful. GoodGirlPR is growing like wild fire by using my DJ Nickiee platform to support it. I literally have five PR pitches scheduled next week; two of which are with a cosmetic dentist and a plastic surgeon-sounds fun. I hired a sales person as well, and he's good!. I also had a great lunch meeting with Bossip.com. And, last night, I fired yet another intern, but I hired three. As much as I want to mentor people, I don't have time for people's excuses and bullshit. Three strikes and you're out!
The DJing world is cool. I still have to get the DJ Nickiee brand together. I would say on average, I DJ twice a month. In fact, I am djing a red carpet event for a company called the Enchanted Events of Atlanta in May (the invite is above). Honestly, I am inviting every Atlanta based publicist and event planner in the Atlanta metro area. It's all about working smarter not harder. I get it now.
Happy Easter.

Sister 2 Sister Magazine Here I Come
I need to start blogging more (I always say this lol). I think I may have more time now. I have two assistants, and an overall staff of 23 people and counting so that means more time for me (one would think). I finally set up my turntables in my new pad, and they don't have dust on them. I am still on my mission to succeed as a female dj (deejay). Program directors are definitely paying attention and sending me sample airchecks. Last week, I had the opportunity to DJ at Deejays for Japan. See the picture of me and DJ Chris Washington above. The lineup was cool - D-Nice, M.O.S., just to name a few.
Sister 2 Sister is also doing a column on me in the magazine. Crossing my fingers on Lucky Magazine! Also my right hand, Natasha Boyd, is being featured in Redbook. Press begets press; therefore I am predicting me and my team will be in many more magazines in 2011/2012. I do own a PR firm (lol). I come from a school of thought that believes that if you want something, you have to do it yourself.
Last week, I had an awesome interview as well, and I hope that I inspire people to start their own business. Click HERE to tune in.
You'll be hearing again from me very soon!
